SUMMARY OF THE JOB:
Manages all aspects of the purchase order documentation process once it is placed
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Processes all acknowledgements and resolves all supplier exceptions
2. Maintains close contact with buyer regarding supplier delivery and service
3. Communicates to internal customers relevant information regarding suppliers
4. Reports to management regarding supplier delivery and service
5. Incorporates schedule changes
6. Maintains a follow-up system consistent with the complexity of the part
7. Monitors, using milestone charts, new and delinquent parts with supplier
8. Plans ahead to avoid delivery problems
9. Documents and adjusts PO's to reflect returns of rejected material to supplier
10. Resolves discrepant paperwork resulting from supplier errors that result in parts not being received properly
11. Resolves problems with supplier invoices
12. Assures that the purchase order folder contains all the required documentation
13. Keeps management informed of labor disputes, potential or actual strikes and plant shutdowns that might affect delivery
14. Processes the purchase order in the procurement system
15. completes special assignments as directed by members of the team
16. Maintains the necessary records to manage all Government requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA WITH 3 YEARS PROCUREMENT EXPERIENCE OR ASSOCIATE DEGREE WITH 1-2 YEARS EXPERIENCE
