Using lightweight materials including composite, ceramic and transparent armor technologies developed by our engineering team, our specialties reside in integrated armor systems, armor kits, accessories and components for a full range of tactical wheeled vehicles, combat vehicles, commercial vehicles and construction equipment; individual warfighter and tactical systems; and seating and restraint systems for aircraft and vehicles.
Supervises all shift employees and complies with all safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversee production and quality assurance for the manufacturing of Armor Components and/or vehicles.
2. Supervises all personnel and operations on assigned shift
3. Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment
4. Organizes work for smooth operations
5. Effectively utilize labor hours to maximize product yields and minimize waste.
6. Reports any process and equipment problems
7. Verifies that discharge from the plant are within limits
8. Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations and procedures are followed
9. Verifies correct identification, weights and warehousing of products
10. Distributes plant status reports to the next-shift Supervisor
11. Supervises loading and unloading of trucks and verifies that paperwork is correctly signed
12. Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quantity standards on the shift
13. Responsible for managing the workforce, dealing with employee questions and concerns, conducting performance reviews, interviewing and selecting qualified candidates, interfacing with the Kronos Time and Attendance system.
14. Trains, upgrades, evaluates, and reviews laborers and operators
15. Serve as the primary back-up in the absence of the Plant Manager.
16. Attend Production meetings, represent the dept. in other meetings, and work with material handling and quality departments.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree and/or the equivalent of 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Previous supervisor experience a must. Welding and/or Fabrication experience a must
