Position Summary:
Position is responsible for sourcing approximately $35MM/year of mostly multi-wall bags and displays, for various Clorox businesses. Specific responsibilities include strategy development, sourcing, forecasting, negotiation, contracting, supplier management, and participation in cross functional teams and/or global sourcing projects. This position is responsible for sourcing strategies of existing and new packages as well as support of new product initiatives and launches.

      Maintains relevant purchasing data for assigned commodities. These may change over time but are initially as follows: multi-wall bags and displays

      Develops and communicates sourcing plans and timelines

      Uses the Strategic Sourcing Process to create value for the company and develops sourcing strategies for commodities

      Represents the sourcing team to stakeholders and management and makes recommendations to place business with selected suppliers

      Works with international Clorox affiliates whenever relevant to coordinate strategies that leverage volume, knowledge and relationships

      Works with R&D and project teams to ensure early involvement of procurement expertise in new innovation projects

      Manages communication and negotiation with suppliers for all commercial agreements and develops contracts and service level agreements as needed

      Actively manages the upstream raw materials to create competitive advantage for Clorox globally

      Supports the company's sustainability strategy by working on recycling materials, processes and strategy

      Supports the company's diversity strategy by investigating possible sources for diversity spend

      Provides SAP systems support for e-sourcing and other related matters

      Bachelor's degree or substantial completion thereof in Engineering, Science or Business Administration

      5 years of strategic procurement work, preferably in pulp and paperas well as linerboard or Masters degree in a related field

      Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies

      Strong business and project leadership skills, assertive and diplomatic, self directed, able to manage up and down the organization without authority, willing to hold others accountable

      Strong communication and listening skills

      Excellent organizational and analytical skills

      Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, and ERP systems (SAP)

      Broad industry experience with a preference for Consumer Packaged Goods and the Packaging Industry

      International experience is a plus

      Bi-lingual Spanish a plus

 

Position will likely be based in Alpharetta , GA

Travel will vary between 20-40%
